Lion and Lamb
Lion of Judah and The Lamb
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
Isaiah 52.7
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
Isaiah 61.1
"Surely he took our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we consider him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all."
He was oppressed and aflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. By oppression and judgment, he was taken away.
And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken. He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth...
... for he bore the sin of man, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 53.4-9 and 12c

We are now in the season of Lent. This picture serves to focus our minds upon just how much Jesus cares for each of us - he died for us!

Judah Trust News
The highlight of the latter part of the year was our Christmas appeal which enabled us to raise sufficient funds to pay for the complete installation of a water supply into Springs Ministries's orphanage near Kisumu in Kenya. There will now be a piped water supply which will also benefit the local village as well. Work has already started and should be complete before the end of the month.

The regular Monday/ Tuesday morning prayer meetings continue and are proving to be a valuable time of intercession. A small group of us pray through all the emails received in the last week. The details then go out by email to the rest of the Judah board and by mail to several other intercessors for follow up intercession. We are delighted with and stand in awe at God’s response to these meetings.

We will be putting up a new Prayer Diary and Newsletter towards the end of the month so watch this space.

We are also delighted to welcome Asher Emetananjo as the new leader for the 'He Intends Victory' chapter operating in London. We will be writing more on this shortly.

End Note
Let us use this time of Lent to reflect on the love of Jesus for each of us and let us respond to his love by determining to live as he wants us to live. As we approach Easter, let us also marvel at the reality of the resurrection of Jesus and draw strength from the great truth that, as He rose, so he enables us to rise with him.

Be blessed over this time of Lent and Eastertide.

with love from

Ray and Joy, Richard and Prilla, and all the team at Judah Trust
