Prayer Diary 2009_02

“He Lifted Up His Hands and Blessed Them”

Each Prayer Diary has an overall theme, in this case, 'Blessing'.

"For I will pour out water on the thirsty land, and steams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offsrping, and my blessing on your descendants."
Isaiah 43.3

For each day there is an overall HIV/AIDS topic to bring before God in intercession. This is followed by a passage from Scripture relating to the theme followed by a prayer to guide our intercession.

In the Prayer Diaries that we send out by email and post to our signed up intercessors, we include also, the details of the specific individuals and organisations who have requested that we intercede for them. These details have been removed from the this web version to protect the confidentiality of the individuals.

MONDAY

Our Intercessors around the world

 
"Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? he who has clean hands and a pure heart ... He will receive the blessing of the Lord." Psalm 24.4-5

Cleanse our hearts and minds with your Spirit, Lord, so that we may ascend the hill of the Lord and dwell in your holy place. Help us as we intercede for those with HIV/AIDS.

 TUESDAY

Women and Children affected by HIV/AIDS 

"I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants" Isaiah 44.3

Thank you Jesus for the blessing of children. As you pour out water on thirsty ground for these little ones, let every child be filled with your Spirit and let your blessings rest on each lonely child struggling with HIV/AIDS.

Caring Groups 

“I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I might share in its blessings." 1 Corinthians 9.22-23

Praise you Lord for each homecare team member, who has denied themselves in order 'to become all things to all men' in order to care in your name. May they be richly blessed and pass on that blessing to others.

HIV/AIDS & Drugs and HIV/AIDS Medication 

“From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people." Psalm 3.8

Father, we thank you that deliverance can only come from you. We bring to you those struggling with drugs and HIV/AIDS. May the power of frugs over their lives be broken and may they be set free to receive every blessing in Jesus name.

HIV Patients 

“For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile - the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him." Romans 10.12

Thank you Jesus, that we are all one in your sight and that you richly bless all who call upon you. Pour out your blessings of healing upon all who are HIV positive this day. Bless too, their families and all who care for them.

“How good it is when brothers live in unity. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life for evermore." Psalm 133.1&3

Lord, for all who teach your ways, may your presence and blessing be so powerfully on them that their students will topple into your kingdom. May they teach aright so that brothers will live together in unity and all receive the blessing of eternal life.

The Very Ill and Bereaved 

“Surely you have granted him eternal blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence." Psalm 21.6

Father, we pray for all you are calling to yourself this day. Renew them with the joy of your presence; grant them eternal blessings to make them glad; comfort the fatherless and widow and give your blessing of peace to all who mourn this day.
