“The One Who Calls You Is Faithfull"

"God With Us"

Each Prayer Diary has an overall theme, in this case, 'The faithfulness and presence of God'.

"The Virgin will be with a child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him 'Immanuel' - which means "God with us".
Matthew 1.23

For each day there is an overall HIV/AIDS topic to bring before God in intercession. This is followed by a passage from Scripture relating to the theme followed by a prayer to guide our intercession.

In the Prayer Diaries that we send out by email and post to our signed up intercessors, we include also, the details of the specific individuals and organisations who have requested that we intercede for them. These details have been removed from the this web version to protect the confidentiality of the individuals.

MONDAY

Our Intercessors around the world

 
"A voice of one calling: 'In the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God..." Isaiah 40.3

Lord, may we lift our voices together - to pray into the wilderness of HIV/AIDS. Help us to 'prepare the way' for your highway to be built there. Release your comfort and healing into the wilderness of HIV/AIDS.

 TUESDAY

Women and Children affected by HIV/AIDS 

"The Virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him 'Immanuel' - which means God with us." Matthew 1.23

Lord, thank you that when you were born on Earth, you were named 'Immanuel' - 'God with us'. Thank you that you call each of us by name. Help each child ill with HIV/AIDS to know your healing presence.

Caring Groups 

"I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be ... humble and gentle; be patient, bearing one another inlove ... just as you were called to ... " Ephesians 4.2

Lord, you have called each of us into this work with those living with HIV/AIDS. Help us to show your love to each person we care for. Pour out your Spirit through us to touch and heal body mind and soul.

 THURSDAY

HIV/AIDS & Drugs and HIV/AIDS Medication 

“May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5.24

Thank you Jesus, that when we cannot, you can. Help us to trust you to release those who are captive to drugs and HIV. Heal and restore them in body, mind and soul. We pray and we praise you, that you are faithful and that you will do it.

HIV Patients 

“The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. His sheep follow because they know his voice." John 10.3-4

Thank you Lord, that you are the good shepherd. Thank you that you call each one of us by name. May each patient that we pray for, know you and be free to follow you when they hear your voice.

HIV Education 

“God chose you to be saved ... he called you to this through our gospel ... so then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings that we have passed onto you." 2 Thessalonians 21.3-15

Thank you Jesus, that you chose each one of us to be saved. Inspire your teacherswith your Spirit so that the good news of your salvation and the sound teaching in your gospels will be available to those with HIV/AIDS.

The Very Ill and Bereaved 

“I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the Earth ... and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Joel 2.29-32

Lord God. pour out your Spirit on each one we pray for today. Heal their sicknesses and their diseases. Make them whole again Lord, and receive into your Kingdom, each one who calls on your name this day.
