Prayer Diary 2010_01

Each Prayer Diary has an overall theme, in this case

'Feed My Sheep'

"Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" he said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep." John 21.17

For each day there is an overall HIV/AIDS topic to bring before God in intercession. This is followed by a passage from Scripture relating to the theme followed by a prayer to guide our intercession.

In the Prayer Diaries that we send out by email and post to our signed up intercessors, we include also, the details of the specific individuals and organisations who have requested that we intercede for them. These details have been removed from the this web version to protect the confidentiality of the individuals.

MONDAY

Our Intercessors around the world

 
"For this is what the Sovereign Lord says; I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. Ezekiel 34.11

Lord, let our prayers rise up to heaven over even one person who is lost and does not know you. Lord, let our prayers be those that seek out and rescue all that are lost in the mire of HIV/AIDS. Release your healing through our prayers and actions, we pray. may we lift our voices together - to pray into the wilderness of HIV/AIDS.

Women and Children affected by HIV/AIDS 

"He tends his flock like a shepherd: he gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those who have young." Isaiah 40.11

Thank you Jesus, for gathering into your arms all who are suffering rejection because of HIV/AIDS. Thank you that you use our arms to hold the children close to your heart. We pray that you will teach us how to lead gently those who have young.

Caring Groups 

"He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep." John 21.17

Praise you Jesus, that you care for each person affected by HIV/AIDS. Release through us and all those for whom we pray, your mighty power so that the hungry will be fed, the homeless will find shelter and the hurting will receive your healing.

HIV/AIDS & Drugs and HIV/AIDS Medication 

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Matthew 9.36

Lord God, as you had compassion on the multitudes, so reach out your hand today to break the bonds of drug addiction and HIV/AIDS. Set your people free to soar with wings like angels and to receive your healing love deep within.

“Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on mee will live because of me." John 6.57

Lord, teach us how to feed on you and to receive your new life as we do so. Praise you Jesus that you have promised that we will receive you.

HIV Education 

“The I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding. Jeremiah 3.15

Bless you Lord, that you always meant us to be led with knowledge and understanding. Cast out from your church, stigma, and raise up and restore those who who are HIV positive and who love your name.

The Very Ill and Bereaved 

“I am the bread of life. Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. But there is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. John 6.48-50

Thank you Lord, that you are the bread of eternal life. Help us to spread your word and truth. Keep us alert Lord, so that none may dread their dying day.
