Prayer Diary 2010_02

Each Prayer Diary has an overall theme, in this case

'Listen To Him'

"Then a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and a voice came from the cloud, "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him." Mark 9.7

For each day there is an overall HIV/AIDS topic to bring before God in intercession. This is followed by a passage from Scripture relating to the theme followed by a prayer to guide our intercession.

In the Prayer Diaries that we send out by email and post to our signed up intercessors, we include also, the details of the specific individuals and organisations who have requested that we intercede for them. These details have been removed from the this web version to protect the confidentiality of the individuals.

MONDAY

Our Intercessors around the world

Help us Jesus, as we pray for the lost and commemorate the dying. Help us to listen to your still small voice within us, so that your prayers may be our prayers, as we go into battle in your name.

Women and Children affected by HIV/AIDS 

"Mary ... sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said." Luke 10.39

Thank you Lord, that you call both adults and children to sit at your feet and lsiten to you. Lord, we pray that you will bless these your children today - strengthen them, heal them and draw them closer to you.

Caring Groups 

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1.22

Help us Lord, to listen to you and put your words into practice in our daily lives. Bless all those who are caring for people with HIV/AIDS and their families and loved ones.

HIV/AIDS & Drugs and HIV/AIDS Medication 

“Now choose life, so that you and all your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 30.19-20."

Lord, help your people to hold fast to you when things get tough. We pray for all suffering from HIV/AIDS and drug abuse. Thank you that as they hold onto you, you will never let them go.

“The Samuel said, "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. 1 Samuel 3.10."

Lord, give us all your 'servant heart' so that as we hear your voice we will receive your Spirit in the deep deep places and will turn to you and be healed.

HIV Education 

“Let the wise listen and add to their understanding. Proverbs 1.5."

Give us wisdom Lord, as we listen to you. Show us how your word can free us from the chains of stigma that surround HIV/AIDS. Let us know in our hearts that you, Jesus, set us free.

The Very Ill and Bereaved 

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no-one can snatch them out of my hand. John 10.27-28."

Help us Lord, as we hear your voice, to realise the reality of wholeness and the safety that comes from you. Thank you Jesus, that no-one can pluck us out of your hand.
